I've checked compatibility for all of the components. If you've suspected that you're the victim of that problem, then you can follow my guide below. OK, this might break your system even further, but I guess it's worth a shot: sudo apt-get purge nvidia*. Instantly posted fine after that.
Hopefully this will work it out. Just to clarify, should I leave any Intel Drivers on the system or does it not matter since I should be able to exclude these once in BIOS? Boot into safe mode. You can change from DVI to HDMI and so on. Don't know how you would get into it though.
