Display Problem After Login


So I tried everything I could to not have to reformat and redo the entire drive. When trying to kill it, I get a black screen, and have to use the power button on my computer to restart Windows. I ended the "dwm.exe" in process which would not work. I put my copy of windows xp, tried the whole restore thing, that did not work, I took the drive back out and made a back up of all content, ran navigate here

The system will even shutdown properly with a single push on the power switch. Should you have more partitions on that same drive, don't be alarmed: they won't be touched. Followed your advice about the jumpers and as if by magic Windows could be re loaded. I can move the mouse pointer, but nothing else works, not even CTRL-ALT-DEL. Only difference is that the line Plug And Play O/S (Advanced > PCI/PnP Settings): Changed from Yes to No was already set to no, but changing the initial graphics adapter to Steps 11 and 12 both involve more difficult and destructive solutions to Windows not starting fully. I made the recommended changes to the BIOS as suggested on this forum...same.

Using the fix from Prevx I was able to get my screen back but the same issue with OneCare now exists. Run the control panel and delete the explorer.exe process. My question is if there is a fix out for this yet or if anyone has identified the problem yet? like f10 or f8 is not responding during startup...

And i'm afraid I i change this option it will just be reset once I install the driver.
