win7 works great... If you only have a weak on-board graphics, that can happen. Icon's on the Desktop, no matter how many, is part of the boot process. If I right click and 'change icon' I can select the correct icon BUT it just doesn't show-up after I press 'Apply'. Disabling the Retrieve scan does resolve the problem, but we don't think that is a viable permanent solution.
