The two drives, of course, are on separate channels, being that this M2A-VM is a Sata 3M MOBO. I also ran a quick test on it and it passed. If the power plan is set to turn off the drives after so many minutes(20 minutes default) the volume(s) on the drive become inaccessible. My drive died while I was on FB.
If the device is properly connected and Windows doesn't see it, check the system BIOS for the drive. Some motherboard manufactures disable unused ports in the BIOS by default.
