PC Randomly Freezes Without BSOD
I guess after narrowing it down, it must be the motherboard. switch to offset and start again. doesn't take much pressure to damage the board and yes, it'll cause the problems you're describing, specially if its cracked all the way across the track. Cannot identify any hardware or software problems. Source

Could be anything i suppose, but i dont think anyone considered the RAM. If Memtest did 7.5 passes without errors, its not your RAM. It might be something to do with the ati driver because while its not installed my computer runs fine ill try to install it again and see what happenes. you could check here and if possible clone it to another hard drive and see if that hard drive helps... Still freezes after successful Prime95 testing. Hmmm.I have turbo disabled. Everything is at stock settings and the cpu idles 35 C while the video card idles at 46 C. It's the information about your hard disks.

This happens a lot, sometimes 2-3 times a hour and is only visible as a "Critical, Kernel-Power" error in the event logger. I went in safe mode and ran driver sweeper and ccleaner, chkdsk on boot, and sfc scannow. 10 minutes or so later it freezes while opening internet explorer. Giving no blue screen message.
Could memtest present 0 errors, but still have something wrong with RAM? However, the second algorithm used is not affected by this. If I'm choosing the correct place in the settings it seems I can choose only 1,35, automatic, 1,65 and 1,8. I've ran through the first stick overnight and after 8h it had gone through 4 runs but failed all the hammering tests.
