I have 85 gigs to move with a 256 gb max on the new machine. You really should have backed up your system first, so you could have just restored that. I would suggest loading that profile onto the windows 8 machine, then install windows 7 easy transfer wizard on the windows 8 machine http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/windows-easy-transfer (Might have to use compatability mode to install.) General Discussion Windows Easy Transfer QuestionI am using Windows Easy Transfer to transfer my settings/data from my existing Windows 7 64-bit machine to a new one I will be building tomorrow. I do think those programs should be able to read and edit older data files, though I might have to save the edited data file to a Win 7 format, but
