I have been installing Windows for friends and own PC/Notebook for years and didn't encounter such problem until my latest notebook. Briefly, go to My Computer, right-click on your system drive (typically C:), select Properties, and click the Disk Cleanup button. flawless !!! This took some patience, as each step seemed to go on forever.
